Feast of the Gods

It's time for a new Pantheon!

What to Wear:

If you have attire fit for Olympus, you're well on your way to becoming a deity.

If you don't, do not fret! I have lots of Fabric and will happily dress you. Please wear undergarments to make that process comfortable for you. Exposed nipples are welcome in Olympus, but let's make sure there is at least a fig leaf's worth of coverage.

Inspiration images and the colors associated with the original gods coming soon.

  • A Greek meze-style banquet (fruit, cheese, hummus, pita, etc). There should be enough for vegan and gluten-free friends, but please indicate any dietary restrictions in your RSVP.

  • Thought-provoking prompts around themes of virtue and vice, pleasure and payment, hubris and healthy competition.

  • Company worthy of Mount Olympus!

  • It is believed that Ambrosia (the food of the gods) may have been referring to magic mushrooms. No promises yet, but I am looking into the possibility of sharing a microdosed treat... for the sake of historical accuracy 😜

What to Expect:

Taking inspiration from the 12 Olympian gods and goddesses of ancient Greece, we are gathering to imagine a new Pantheon. If you were an immortal citizen of Olympus, what realm would you rule? What offerings would please you? What sins would you punish?

What to Bring:

You are encouraged, but not required, to bring an offering that would spark joy and inspire favor from your divine form.

Types of Offerings to inspire you:

  • Monetary: A monetary offering to support the cost of the food and drink I will be providing (@itschristycasey on Venmo).

  • Libations: Mead, wine, or other drinks for us to enjoy during the feast.

  • Devotional Acts: Support with either setup or clean-up would be much appreciated (cleaning is my Achilles heel). Leading a inspired activity (ie a competition of some sort) is also welcome. If you are musically inclined, we would love for you to bring an instrument to play a musical offering.

  • Food: There will be plenty of food, but if you have something special that you would like to share, we will happily add it to the table. Perhaps this is something homemade, your favorite fruit for Demeter, or something from your travels for Hermes.

  • Fragrant and/ or Burnt offerings: Candles, incense, perfume, or handwritten notes to be symbolically burned.

  • Votive Offerings: Physical objects of beauty and meaning offered as gestures of appreciation. While I would not turn away florals, a nice serving dish, piece of jewelry, or other hostess gift, I invite you to bring something that is either meaningful to you or would enhance the tablescape to offer just for the evening (ie you bring it home with you).

Parking + Arrival:

Rideshare is encouraged, especially if you will be enjoying libations and ambrosia.

There is some street parking, but it is limited. If you don't find any on Vinton or Jasmin, try looking on the far side of Venice. Parking in the Smart and Final lot is probably fine, but that theory is untested.

There is no buzzer, but the building code is #4884. If you park on Jasmine, there is also an entrance on that side with the same code.
